This album was recorded in various bedrooms and livingrooms in apartments in and around Brooklyn, Jersey City, and Nowhere during 2012 and early 2013. Pepper Coat is (still) Edmund Lawrence Kasubinski III.

Thanks to all of the folks who agreed that Pepper Coat is a real thing and came out to the shows. And to anyone who thought that Pepper Coat isn't a real thing, but didn't say anything. On the liner notes of the last album, I thanked "Nobody" and I'm sorry about that. I should have thanked you (and you know who you are.) Let your little light shine. All of you!

Remember folks, it's not all that gloomy. Sometimes it's pretty to think it's all that gloomy, but just remember: the act is over when the lights go out. In other words, don't bring the gloom with you to bed. Keep it in your cupboard and save it for a sunshiny day. And don't let your friends borrow it.
